Blogging For Profits

Almost everything that starts off as fun on the Internet is inevitably turned into a money-making venture. And that’s not a bad thing. You might as well get your piece of the pie. Let’s talk blogging, for instance. You’ll be happy to know that there are five easy strategies that you can adopt to make money blogging.

One good method: The Flagship Method. Under this approach to blogging, you create and maintain only a few blogs. That’s because you’ll need to spend a huge number of hours each week, as well as a lot of energy, on turning these blogs into true destinations for your visitors. You need to do all you can to create sites within popular niches and then to turn them into the best sites available online pertaining to those topics. The goal is to achieve large numbers of visitors per day.

People who use the flagship method do so because the potential is there for generating a lot of money. However, there are even more who avoid this method because of the amount of time needed to generate that income. Usually you have to spend months building up your site, and most of that time you’re not making much or any money. Bottom line: It takes time.

Still, once the blog takes off, the monetary (and emotional) rewards are plenty. You will have created a true destination site on the Web, and it will have lots of options for bringing in money. One of the most significant monetization options is direct advertising sales.

Flagship blogging doesn’t work for everyone, though. Only those who have detailed knowledge of a popular topic, as well as the networking and marketing skills necessary, should attempt this method. Otherwise, you might spend all of that time for naught.

A second popular method to make money online via blogging is the “pay per post” method. Using this method, you set up several niche blogs, either on free blog hosting sites such as Wordpress, or on your own domain. You maintain these blogs for a period of time, with your focus being on creating content and building up the sites’ Google PageRanks, Alexa Ranks, and link profiles.

You also expend a good amount of energy and time submitting these blogs to pay-to-blog sites like Review Me, Blogitive, Blogsvertise, Sponsored Reviews, PayperPost and LoudLaunch. Then start writing sponsored posts which are really paid advertisements that sell products in the form of a blog post.

Of course, the main disadvantage to this method is that there is no passive income. You have to take lots of time to create a lot of sponsored posts to make money–otherwise there is no money to be made in this method.

A third good method: Automated Blogging. This means just what it sounds like. You set up the site and then leave it alone to draw in the money for you. You do this by setting up the site to pull in content from RSS feeds, search engines and news sources. There’s next to no maintenance required once you set up these sites, which means you have money coming in for almost no more work from you. The downside is that the money that is generated is only be low if you don’t spend the time marketing them properly.

Blogging is fun. But it no longer needs to be only fun. You can also make some significant extra money, provided you use the right strategies. Try any or all of the above to see how your income can be enhanced.
